The Griffin-Spalding Art Association promotes and encourages the visual arts through art exhibitions, workshops, and art education. Since 1969, the association has provided programs of interest to both artists and the community through a variety of events, displays and classes. Membership is open to both artists and patrons of the arts.
The association is a non-profit organization, supporting itself from member's dues and fees.
Individually, members have exhibited their work regionally and nationally. Many are recipients of awards in major art exhibitions. Their paintings can be found in art galleries, public institutions and private collections.
The Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the Griffin Regional Welcome Center, 143 N. Hill Street. It is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There is a great mix of artwork in a wide variety of media, including prints, paintings and photographs. Our inventory changes quarterly, so stop in often and select something special for yourself or a friend.
